We started the next leg of our journey (spoiler! my favorite part) in Gardiner, Montana. Gardiner is a fun little town that seems to be mainly populated by river rats and tourists heading in to Yellowstone. The Gardiner entrance is Yellowstone’s only year round entrance, and the Yellowstone River flows right through town.
Oh hey everyone! How about a coffee/breakfast date?
My work BFF’s boyfriend owns a restaurant and they had a bunch of extra heirloom tomatoes, local kale and fresh basil, so she brought me a bunch: scrambled eggs with kale, tomatoes, basil, and garlic, with leftover quinoa rice mix and garbanzo beans on the side.
So what I’ve been calling my “happy new relationship weight gain” is getting a little out of control. 1. 6 months is not a new relationship (at least of the sort I can blame weight gain on) and 1. We’re moving toward fall and none of my pants fit right.
Trying to get the eating back on track…aka I don’t need 2 beers on weeknights plus more on the weekends and bread and cheese and olive oil is not an acceptable dinner. Salsa is not a vegetable.
I’m pretty happy on the exercise front. I’ve gone for a couple of runs lately, a 24 mile bike ride (through hail and thunderstorms) this weekend, going climbing tonight. I haven’t been to the gym in weeks, though, and I am paying for it. I should probably start that again.
We’re in a super busy (but mostly fun) time at work. I’m doing interviews for our next year’s AmeriCorps Members. I love talking to so many totally awesome people, and I wish that I could hire 90% of the ones I end up talking to. Alas, it’s not (totally) up to me.
My roommate had a Hippies vs. Hipsters Bike Pub Crawl. It was amazing.
Hope you all are having amazing weeks! I should probably finish breakfast and put on non-yoga clothes and actually go into the office. #spoiledbyremoteworking
